A visual field test is an examination that may be performed to analyze a patient's visual field . The exam may be performed by a technician in one of several ways. The tool that we developped allow the test to be performed by a technician directly, with the assistance of a computer, using the Visual field software.
The patient has to sit about 3 feet from a screen with a target in the center. He must stare at the central target and click on the mouse when he can see an object brought into his peripheral vision. The extent of the peripheral vision is mapped and can be printed. |
